The third of DCDA’s popular travel talk programs, “Varieties of Travel,” will be held Saturday morning, April 29, 2017.
As before, the program will be held at the Dayton Community Center, and is free.
Like the past programs, this one will deal with various facets of low-cost and unconventional ways to see the world. Past topics included such offbeat topics as wording for NGOs abroad and cycling through Europe.
This year, organizers John Francis and Caye Poe have not decided on the new program yet, but say it will follow the same set-up: a new speaker every 15 minutes from 9 a.m. to noon. Among the topics being considered: traveling for people with handicaps, traveling with young children, and traveling the word via scooter .
