| This was a basic exploratory survey designed by Annie Larson at Yamhill County Public Health. Despite limited size/design, this is very helpful. Of note, avg. amount of groceries purchased within Dayton=5%!! Over 70% travel more than 5 miles for groceries (avg=9.75 miles each way). Out of town supermarkets and big box retailers are, by far, number one destination for Dayton grocery dollars! Avg. of respondent makes 2.13 trips per week. So, avg. respondent travels approx 40 miles per week to buy/obtain groceries. |
