The third of DCDA’s popular travel talk programs, “Varieties of Travel,” will be held Saturday morning, April 29, 2017.
As before, the program will be held at the Dayton Community Center, and is free.
Like the past programs, this one will deal with various facets of low-cost and unconventional ways to see the world. Past topics includied such offbeat topics as wording for NGOs abroad and cycling through Europe.
Organizers John Francis and Caye Poe have not yet finalized the speakers, but say the program will follow the same format as previous years: a new speaker every 15 minutes or so, from 9 a.m. to noon. Among the topics being considered: travelling with service club, walking through Africa, cycling, and seeing Asia on a scooter.
