Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026 for a unique living history experience where you’ll meet and learn about the notable figures buried here, and their fascinating stories that shaped our community. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable October outing, you’ll enjoy an engaging walk through Dayton’s past filled with stories of courage, perseverance, adventure, and community.
Before Your Tour
- Arrive early at Palmer Creek Lodge and enjoy a glass of wine from Seufert Winery, a warm cup of cider, and beautiful live music by Kennadi Johnston before your tour begins.
- When it’s time, your guide will escort your group on a pleasant two-block walk to Historic Brookside Cemetery. All tours are fully guided.

- To provide an intimate experience, each tour is limited to 25 guests, advance ticket purchase is recommended. (Tickets sold on-site are limited to check payment or exact change.)
Event Information
- Duration: Approximately 1 hour
- Tickets: $20 per person, $15 for seniors, $10 age 12 and under; must be accompanied by an adult. (Tickets are non-refundable).
- Attire: Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. The cemetery contains uneven terrain.
- Parking: Please park at Palmer Creek Lodge. No parking is available at the cemetery.
- Mobility: Sidewalks lead almost to the cemetery entrance, where the surface becomes gravelly. In the historic cemetery there is uneven ground throughout; after rain, some areas may be soft or muddy. No walking trails exist in the cemetery; the spaces between rows are grassy, uneven surfaces and these areas we walk to move through the tour.
