Introducing: Downtown Dayton Dollars!

December 1, 2016 By admin

downtown-dollarsSHOPPING! Some love it, some not-so-much… The Dayton Community Development Association (DCDA) has just made your gift giving easier and offers a way to support your downtown. DAYTON DOLLARS are here! Sold in $5 increments, buy as many as you want. They are redeemable for purchases at any participating Downtown Dayton merchant. The dollars act like gift certificates. They can be used for goods and services in participating businesses located in the downtown and can be purchased online and at Dayton Mercantile.

Some ideas:
Think about gift certificates for our restaurants: Archie’s Ice Cream And Eatery, The Barlow Room, The Block House Cafe, Lonestar Bbq Restaurant and Catering. How about wine or wine tasting at Seufert Winery or fun gifts from Dayton Mercantile or Zukasa Mexican Tienda?

Dayton Dollars are valid and redeemable for goods and services at participating Downtown merchants for stated value. Merchant participation and product availability subject to change at any time. Dayton Dollars cannot be redeemed for cash or used to purchase other gift certificates. Dayton Dollars cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Dayton Dollars cannot be used or redeemed towards previous purchases. No change will be given for items costing less than a full gift certificate. All sales subject to terms of participating merchant.
Dayton Dollars is administered by the Dayton Community Development Association.

February 26, 2016 By admin

Thank you, Dayton community and friends of Dayton! Our first ever “Chocolate Crawl” and Second “Hearts of Dayton” Campaign were a huge success! We raised almost $2000 to be used to create another fun Dayton Friday Nights this summer. Our heartfelt thanks to Lonestar Bbq Restaurant and Catering, The Barlow Room, Locally Picked, Archie’s Ice Cream And Eatery, Seufert Winery, Dayton Mercantile and The Block House Cafe for the tasty chocolate treats! Congratulations to The Block House Cafe staff, and their patrons, who earned a beautiful trophy for honoring us with the largest donation amount to the Hearts of Dayton Campaign. Back again in 2017!

Hearts of Dayton 2016 Campaign

Visit our downtown businesses from January 15 to February 14th and show your love for our community!  Purchase a heart for $1 – $500 or more,  and your donation will support Dayton Friday Nights, the annual summer celebration downtown on Friday Nights.

We will cap off this month long campaign with a very special downtown Chocolate Crawl on February 13th, 11am – 3:00 pm.

Dayton Community Development Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Your donation is tax deductible as allowed by law.

We will cap off the month long Hearts of Dayton campaign with a very special Chocolate Crawl on Saturday, February 13th from 11am – 3:00 pm.  “Passports” can be purchased for $10 at participating businesses.  Use these on the 13th to experience chocolate bliss with your Valentine.  Your passport will get stamped at each business you visit, where you’ll get to indulge in different chocolate treats.  When your passport is full, you’ll leave your passport at the last spot you visit, where it will be entered into a grand prize drawing.  Again, proceeds may be tax deductible and will support Dayton Friday Nights.   Spend $25 for a heart during the Hearts of Dayton campaign and receive a free passport!
